Each message file, compressed as a zip archive, contains 1000 messages in unix mbox format (which uses plain ASCII text encoding). The messages are in the time order they were posted. Note to linux/unix users: although the text-based message files are in unix mbox format, they use Windows/DOS end-of-lines (EOL) to enable their direct use in Windows-based editors, such as Notepad.
